I have enjoyed reading fantasy and science fiction ever since I was a child. My favorite kind always began in very ordinary circumstances that would kick out to fantastic adventures. I suppose a part of me thought that, if incredible journeys could be had by very normal people, then perhaps some such adventure could happen to me.

Like most people, I have had my own experiences that were stranger than fiction. There have been numerous times in my life when the life stories being shared with me just seemed so incredible that I had thought they could not be made into movies or such, just because they seemed too far-fetched to be believable.

I have always been intrigued by the 'big' questions such as: Who am I? Why am I here? What is reality or is this all just an illusion—a dream within a dream? For a while I was interested in religion but that soon became inadequate for me—the holes in the story lines were just too big. I therefore stepped out of this area and became interested in New Age teachings. However, I found myself once again very disappointed. It was as though many people were satisfied with 'convenient' answers simply because it gave them permission to be comfortable in being selfish. For example, the idea that 'everyone is right where they are supposed to be' really just gives a person the permission to ignore the suffering of others. At least this is how I see it.

The Choice therefore began as a bit of an experiment. Could I use aspects of my own life as a launching pad for a mystical adventure story? How much of my own life and stories that others had shared with me, could I incorporate into such a story? Could I come up with a story line that tied up all, or many at least, of the loose ends that we find in the majority of spiritual beliefs these days? Could I even write a mystical adventure story that others would want to read?

I will let you, the reader, be the judge. For myself, this was simply a fun process and a great way for me to sort out what this life has taught me to date. While there are stories included in this tale that are true, the resulting story is totally fiction. I hope you enjoy.

Wishing you love, light and laughter, always!
